Cynthia Daignault è nata a Baltimora (Maryland) e vive tra New York e Los Angeles. Ha frequentato la Stanford University, è stata un MacDowell Colony Fellow, ed è si è aggiudicata il prestigioso premio della Rema Hort Mann Foundation. I suoi quadri sono stati esposti in numerose mostre personali, tra cui le mostre presso White Columns, Lisa Cooley e Rowhouse Project; e in numerose mostre collettive, tra cui le mostre presso il Museum of Contemporary Art di Denver, il Fort Worth Modern e il Brooklyn Museum, dove nel 2014 ha esposto l'installazione monumentale I love you more than one more day, con 365 dipinti del cielo.
Daignault è anche scrittrice. È lei la fondatrice della pubblicazione A-Z, uno dei redattore del Sean Landers Monografia, Improbable History, e l'ex direttore associato della Felix Gonzalez-Torres Foundation. Pubblica e tiene lezioni regolarmente, tra queste le letture al PS1, Seque series, e preso la New York University. Ha pubblicato due libri d'artista in edizione limitata, dal titolo CCTV (2012) e I love you more than one more day (2013).
La sua mostra personale Light Atlas ha inaugurato a novembre 2015 da Lisa Cooley.
Cynthia Daignault is an artist, born in Baltimore, Maryland and based in New York and Los Angeles. She attended Stanford University, was a MacDowell Colony Fellow, and was the recipient of a Rema Hort Mann Foundation Grant.
Her paintings have been the subject of numerous solo shows, including exhibitions at White Columns, Lisa Cooley and Rowhouse Project; and of numerous group shows, including exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, the Fort Worth Modern, and the Brooklyn Museum, where in 2014 she exhibited the massive installation I love you more than one more day, featuring 365 paintings of the sky.
Daignault is an active writer. She is the founder of the publication A-Z, an editor of the Sean Landers Monograph, Improbable History, and the former associate director of the Felix Gonzalez-Torres Foundation. She publishes and reads regularly, including readings at PS1, the Seque series, and NYU. She has published two limited edition artist books, titled CCTV (2012) and I love you more than one more day (2013). Her solo exhibition Light Atlas opened in November 2015 at Lisa Cooley.
